Reimar Koch Reflections Of The 2020 Mural Festival

Updated: Sep 13, 2020

Reimar Koch is a member of Vancouver Street Photography Collective (@van_spc). They submitted a few photos as a field report on this year's 2020 Vancouver Mural Festival. Whether knowingly, or unknowingly the photos assembled together played with reflections and showed the murals not only as art on walls, but as art existing within the narrative of its environment. Mirrors, water and glass became new ways of seeing the murals in a different light.

All of these Murals are works of Art which certainly brought positive feelings to myself and all those around enjoying them. With our current pandemic, outdoors spaces in the city have renewed importance. The Murals provide moments of enjoyment along with many different positive perspectives and simply brighten one's day. - Reimar Koch
